Kehillath B’nai Torah was founded in 1999 by Rabbi Jonathan Seidemann in the newly burgeoning Orthodox neighborhood of Ranchleigh in Greenspring. The congregation of about 20 families purchased a residential home at the corner of Green Meadow Parkway and Edenvale Road to serve as its synagogue.

Over the years, the congregation has expanded the building twice, enlarging both the sanctuary and the social hall. The congregation is currently under further construction to expand all aspects of the synagogue.

Today, the congregation’s membership is about 150 families.
